Bottomless Pit

Last weekend we met Josh's Dad for lunch. You would've thought Emma hadn't eaten for days. She ate a hotdog (which was the size of two regular hotdogs), nearly all of my green beans and some of my black eyed peas. If she had stopped there, I still would think she had eaten a big lunch. But that isn't where it stopped. JD had a couple of doughnuts in his car. Emma LOVED them. She ate half of a plain doughnut and half of a blueberry one. She is a bottomless pit lately!

JD also brought her a coloring book. She literally started coloring the minute we got in the car. She is a coloring crazed these days.

We went home after lunch so that she could take a nap. It doesn't happen often, but every now and then, she won't take a nap. Last Saturday was one of those days. So we picked up and took off again.

While I was looking in a store, Emma and Josh found this desk and phone that kept her entertained. She did not want to leave!

She is talking to our cat, Nala, on this particular phone call.

Finally, after a couple of hours of being on the go, Emma passed out in between stores. She took a good 35 minute nap and was ready to go when we got to the next stop. Side comment: Isn't she cute in my sunglasses? She just had to have them and I wasn't willing to make it a fight.
