Toddler Talk

1. Last night on our way home, Emma was talking on her phone. Here is how her side of the conversation went:

Hi, Nala. It Emma...several unrecognizable words...Oh, okay. Bye, Nala.

We thought it was so cute that she was talking to our cat on the phone.

2. Last week, Josh was out of town for work. Every morning as I drove Emma to school, this is what she said:

Trees...more trees. There Emma's tree. And Mommy's tree. And Nala's tree. pause...But Daddy is not home.

Apparently Josh didn't get a tree since he was out of town.

3. Discussing colors:

Emma: That blue, Mommy.
Me: No, that's green, Emma.
Emma: No blue!!
Me: No green.
Emma: NO BLUEEEE!
Me: Ok, fine we'll go with blue.
Emma: Umm no Mommy, it green {with a smirk on her face}.
