A Super Girl's 5th Birthday

Very belated post...but better late than never.  Here is Emma's Supergirl themed fifth birthday party.

The cake {no, I didn't make this}

We had the party at Do*It*Yourself*Crafts and it turned out great!

My very own Supergirl!

I did make capes for all the kids but only Emma's was this decorative.

As an added bonus, the capes doubled as smocks so they wouldn't get paint on their clothes.

They painted plates and they all turned out so cute.

Painting with Ann Calvert.

Christian looks very serious about his plate painting.

Don't think that James was left out.  He didn't make a plate but he still made himself at home and had a grand time.

All of Emma's celebrators.

Can we pretend this isn't blurry?

Blowing out her candles.

Cake was delicious!

James quite enjoyed it.

The kids all loved coloring on the chalkboards after cake.

The little boys were no exception...James and Christian were so sweet with each other.

The final product.

I couldn't have asked for it to have turned out any better.  Happy birthday, sweet Emma.  We love you and are so proud of the little girl you are growing up to be.

This and That

Busy season was rough.  Even though I was the one working {really} late nights and missing out on life, it was probably hardest on Josh since he was with the kids by himself night after night.  He never complained and he never made me feel bad.  I am so thankful that he is the father of my children because I knew without any doubt that they were all safe and sound.  Before I blog any further, I want to say a big thank you to Josh.  Love you!

Back to our regularly scheduled blogging...

Here are some pictures that recap some of  what you missed the past couple of months.

We made our own ice cream.  This one was rocky road...and it was actually pretty good!

We went to the trampoline park and there was a LOT of bouncing involved.

And jumping in the pit.

Note to self:  Fastest way to tucker out your child...let them bounce for an hour.

Not surprisingly, James is a huge fan of sparklers.  For the record, I didn't think that this was a great idea but I was overruled.

I took Emma to a Monster Truck rally for a birthday party.

It was LOUD.

Birthday boy, Micah, and Emma.

  Me and my girl.

Is he the sweetest or what?!

Emma Turns FIVE!

It was months ago...but it did happen. My baby girl somehow turned five!

We told her we would do whatever she wanted to do that day and she chose the science center.  JD and Honey joined us and we all had a great time.

Our big girl took a zip down the zip line.

Here is a video of her doing it.  For some reason there is no sound, but there is no sound needed thankfully.

For her birthday, JD and Honey got her this huge piano and these two were on it constantly.

Sweet cuddles.
