A Long Night

Saturday night was a long night for us. Emma woke up at 1:00 in the morning. Josh went up to check on her and all it took for me to pop out of bed was to hear his gasp when he opened her door. She had thrown up all over the place. I will skip over the details to spare you. While I gave her a bath, Josh took care of her sheets and put new ones on her bed. We were praying it was a one time thing because she isn't even sick with so much as a sniffle right now. We were wrong...

Instead, here is the run down:

Three hours
Three baths
Five pairs of pajamas
Five sheets
Four blankets
Two pillows (after two we didn't put another one in there with her)
Four stuffed animals
Countless tears
Lots of rocking
Three very tired people

This is only the third episode of throwing up she has ever had. So it's still shocking and scary when it happens. The only thing we can figure is it was something she ate. She has had hummus numerous times but we made our own hummus yesterday and she ate some for dinner. We assume it was that and therefore, we are going to steer her clear of hummus for a while!

She woke up this morning at 8:15 and hasn't wanted much to do with food. She ate some plain noodles for lunch along with some Pedialyte and Ginger Ale. She also took a FOUR hour nap which was amazing.

Here she is recuperating in our bed this morning.

She was a really good patient. All she wanted to do today was lay on the couch (or on Mommy) and rest.
