Emma the Explorer

We took Emma to see Dora and Diego at the Science Center. She told me at least four times while we were there that this was a really great surprise. She had so much fun!  They had food there and she wouldn't even stop to eat.  We even offered her a cookie and she said, "No, I'm not hungry.  I just want to play."  We just let her play and enjoy it.

About to board the spaceship.

Our turn to go in and meet Dora and Diego!

She loved this slide.  She must have gone down at least a hundred times.
Playing in Tico's nutty forest.

Planting flowers in Isa's garden.

Being a good animal doctor at Diego's animal rescue.

Listening to Daddy's heart.

And Mommy's belly.
She found this magnifying glass and carried it around for thirty minutes "looking closely" at everything.

We stayed until they made us leave.  She was adorable running around that place going from exhibit to exhibit.  Definitely glad we ended up going!

My Beauty

A couple of weekends ago we had my friend Jennifer take Emma's pictures. I love them!  Once she got comfortable and started posing, it was on.  She loves a camera!  And for my future reference, I was 22 weeks pregnant at the time of this photo shoot.
The most angelic face I've ever seen!

Here is the series that shows her blowing a dandelion as she walks towards Jenn and then throws it in the air.  She was really proud of herself.

My favorite one of the three of us.

She loves her Daddy - and he loves her even more!

Out with the Old, In with the New

We've moved...finally! We officially closed on the new house on April 20 but on that day I hadn't even packed up the first box yet. The whole process was so up in the air that I didn't want to start packing and then find out that the deal fell through. I don't understand why it has to be so difficult. They had a house they wanted to sell, we liked their house and were willing to give them money for it...why that turned into over two months of back and forth, I will never understand.

Nevertheless, we eventually got furniture moved over and slept in the house for the first time on May 10. I couldn't assist much in the lifting of boxes/furniture since I'm pregnant - but let's be real and just go ahead and say that I wouldn't have been that helpful in the lifting department even if I hadn't been pregnant. I did do a LOT of packing though. Thankfully Josh and my Mom were amazing as always in getting the loads of boxes and tons of furniture from one place to the next this week.

Here we are on the day we took possession in front of our new house!

Emma playing in the new garage - she found a cabinet to climb into.

Running around the deck outside - happy as can be!

Josh's Mom came to help out for several days as well. She cut down all of the debris you see here. It is piled so high that you can hardly see the house! Needless to say, the front yard needed a lot of care. It looks so much better now!

Playing on the hand truck with Daddy.
A big thank you to all of our parents for coming down to help over the past couple of weeks. Josh's mom worked wonders in the yard and his dad helped Josh move some furniture and brought us a refridgerator. And without my mom we never would've been able to say that we had officially moved all of our belongings over to the new house. She also managed to help me unpack our kitchen and dining room. We couldn't have done it without you guys! The biggest thank you goes to Josh. You have been working so hard on this move and I appreciate everything you've done from finalizing the contract to all the late nights and bruises from moving too much heavy stuff on your own.

Oh Canada

I headed to Vancouver for work last week. I arrived late Friday night.  Me and Rachel had fun on Saturday...but then I got really sick that night and it lasted all day on Sunday. It was either food poisoning or baby boy didn't enjoy dinner that night.  I was so bummed that I couldn't enjoy the city more since I will most likely never have a chance to go back.

On the bright side, at least I was able to have an amazing view from my hotel room.

On Saturday, Rachel and I had fun walking around and exploring.  We were able to go up to the Vancouver Lookout where you can see the entire city.  Here a few pictures from way up there...

Everything was beautiful with all of the snow capped mountains in the background.

I am happy I was able to go to Canada and meet my counterparts that live there.  I talk with them on the phone all the time, so it's great to finally put faces with the voices now.  I spent a lot of time in the airport, customs, and baggage claim.  I am thrilled to be back in the U.S.A. again!

Me and My Girl

I know, I know...I've been away for a while. I've traveled to Canada for work and been in the process of moving, so it's been a long couple of weeks!  I'll try to start catching up.  Here are a few more photos from when we visited my family a couple of weeks ago.

They have horses a few houses down so my dad took us for a fun ride in the golf cart to pet them.

I love this little girl!
