Epcot

Day 4 - Monday, December 9

On Monday, we ventured away from the Magic Kingdom  and into Epcot.  There was a slower pace at Epcot and we all desperately needed that at this point in the trip.

Waiting for the monorail to whisk us away to the park.

Elsa and Anna - the Frozen sisters!  Since these princesses are new, they had by far THE longest wait.  Josh ran all the way from the monorail over to the princesses to get in line...even still there was an hour and a half to two hour wait.  Emma would not get out of line to go do anything else while the other one of us waited in line.  She was NOT about to miss these princesses!

Once that was done, we were free to roam the rest of the park.

We headed to the Chevrolet Test Track experience next.

First you create your own car on the computer and then you get to ride it around the test track.  Emma loved the speed of this ride!  Here is a picture of the car that she dreamed up...Daddy may have helped with some of the input.

Next, we went to Nemo's ride.

This is Turtle Talk with the surfer turtle, Crush, from Nemo.  The turtle talked to the kids and asked if they had any questions.  Emma actually raised her hand!  Here is the video of her question.  I will set up the video by mentioning that the child that went right before her asked, "Do you live in Disney World?"  And you can hardly hear her, but her response to 'where do you live?' was "Mississippi State."

We just barely made it in time to see Chip and Dale.

Belle walking with Emma and then signing her book.

Time for dinner at Akershus....which means you dine with all the princesses in Normandy for those who haven't been.  We were greeted by Belle at the door.  Isn't it amazing how she changed out of her street clothes {picture above} so quickly?  Those princesses are magical!

Ecstatic to meet the princesses.

And so it begins...Aurora...

...Snow White...

...Ariel...

...and her favorite...Cinderella.

As a special surprise, they brought Emma out a cupcake with a candle and a birthday card signed by ALL of the princesses!!

After dinner we had just enough time to ride Soarin again.  This ride was great.  It takes you way up in the air and it makes you feel like you are "soarin" through the sky.  When you fly over an orange orchard, you can smell the oranges and when you fly over the forest, you can actually smell pine trees.  So cool.  I think all of us enjoyed this one!  We rode it two more times that night before they finally shut it down.

On our way out of the park, they had stones that lit up with twinkle lights.  You never know what you're going to come across at Disney.

Goodnight, Epcot!
